Considering to rebuild broken piece with wood, owners interested in wood species which are close in value to the slate.
Precedent for this is a table I designed and built for MADE:
Here were some of the mockups that weren’t pursued when making that table. These would have involved scribing to broken edges rather than the clean cut which was chosen:

Picked up 9/26 6:30-7:00pm removal with gentle heat, now it’s soaking in mild detergent ——— 6:30am-7:00am started removing foam from cloth and shell, need to find gentle solvent that won’t damage
