6:30-7:00pm removal with gentle heat, now it’s soaking in mild detergent

———

6:30am-7:00am started removing foam from cloth and shell, need to find gentle solvent that won’t damage either since hot water and mechanical removal are not effective. Interested in a natural alternative to the yellow foam- felt?

7:00-7:30 researching materials and making purchase of 1/2” medium natural latex foam- $50. Determined that it’s not allergy triggering for latex allergy people.

Denatured alcohol is working to soften the old adhesives.

3:00pm on - a third wash of the cover seems to have gotten it very clean. Working on getting the rest of the foam and contact cement off of everything. The chair shell is marked “raval” underneath the upholstery.
